Extended maintaince

I will soon be taking delivery of my 328i. I'm considering the extended maintenance policy, but I'm not sure if it is worth the $1327.45 for two additional years of maintenance.
What is the maintenance schedule for the 328i in the fifth and sixth year?
Will enough maintenance be required to be worth the cost.
Another consideration is I only drive about 7k per year.

MSRP is 985. Don't know why they'd charge more than MSRP. Burdick is near where I went to school. They charge everything MSRP nothing more and definitely nothing less.

Most dealers will ask from $1200 to $1400.

If what you are talking about is a maintenance program and not an extended warranty.

If so, I do not do maintenance programs, I do however do an extended warrenty on the cars I buy that I know I want to keep for a long time. It is like any thing,, it is a coin toss.

Cons to a maintenance program I've found are:

1) usually local dealer priced
2) not transferable to another
3) you can not cancel
4) no refund if you move out of the dealer's area
5) basically, you are prepaying for future regular scheduled service

My $0.02 worth.

You only drive 7k a year so after 4 years you will roughly have 28k on your car. I would not pay for something that will not have any value to you until 4 years down the road. You can get the extended maintenance or warranty anytime up to the time your original warranty expires. Put that 1300 in the bank for 4 years and then evaluate if you want to pay for the extra 2 years or not. Also shop around you can get the extended maintenance and warranty from any dealer.

The maintenance program is offer by BMWUSA not your local dealer so even if you move to another State the vehicle is still cover bu the program.
