E92 Aero kit lip installs over existing, or requires cut?

Hey guys; I was under the impression the aero lip just installed right over the stock OEM bumper, but someone mentioned to me that it actually requires that you cut the bottom of the stock bumper off, then install the lip... I was just wondering if someone can confirm how the lip is actually installed.

it goes right over. bmw will not make a part that requires you cut the oem bumper.

think it gets bolted in with existing bolts though

Right ok, thanks guys. I was totally sure of this but then the guy mentioned cutting and I said "huh?". Anyway, I appreciate the confirmation.
