F.s Bmw E90 e91 E9x Genuine Folding mirrors Black Mettalic £150
Genuine BMW E90 E91 3 Series Auto Fold Heated Mirrors for Facelift model.
Please note they will fit pre facelift model but wiring will need modifying. Also suitable for Touring Sapphire black metalic in colour with gloss black shadowline m sport trim. Perfect working order I also have the autofold switch which i will include. There are some scratches but not bad in my opinion just being honest from the start but would not cost much to get repainted. |

hi steve.
i have an from bruce miranda briefly stating what needs doing. I did something very similar on my E60 and I guess its the same on the E90 as well. You can still use the folding motors but without the right type of mirrors you are not going to be able to use the switch panel. What you need to do is open up the new mirrors and then transplant everything from your old mirrors into the new one, cut the motor wires just after the ecu you will find inside the new mirror and extend those out of the mirrors. So you should now be left with 7 wires coming out of the mirrors and your mirror should have your old mirror internals and the new mirror motor and frame. Next you either buy a Innoparts IP-SAM 1.0 http://www.innoparts.de/shop/product...roducts_id=102 or an E39 rear sun shade switch Connect this to the wires you have just pulled outside of the mirrors and you should have folding mirrors. this is copied from my email, chris 07718988743 |

Might be interested in these - I have a post-LCI 320d (ie with the bigger door mirrors already).
That said, am I right in assuming that this will need a new wiring loom for the doors if it going to work (as well as flashing the car's computer at a dealer). Have you any idea how much extensive surgery is required if it is a post-LCI car - or is that unlikely to make much difference...? |

i dont think a new wiring loom would be needed if you are swapping wiring within the mirrors as bruce says in the email. i bought these mirrors of raf on here for £260 so i am just trying to get some of the funds back as they are sat in my wardrobe doing nothing. |

Okay, while I am almost convinced that three weeks from now these will end up languishing in the back of my wardrobe, I'll take a punt I can get these working.
Send me an e-mail and we'll sort something out. Cheers Last edited by turboblue; 10-25-2010 at 08:01 AM.. |

Not a stupid question - took me a while to work out what it referred to.
LCI = BMW-speak for a mid-life revamp of their models. (Life Cycle Improvement..? or something like that). In practice it meant a new set of tail lights and an updated i-drive (if you specified it) They did also change the door mirrors as well - hence why people are asking the question... |
