KW V1 and Camber Plates Question
How many of your are running this combo? Are camber plates necessary to get the alignment 100% right with the KW V1 installed?
Thoughts?

1st Q: kw v3 + vorshlags for me.
2nd Q: No. I'm using camber plates to save my front tires and decrease understeer for my xi at the track.

Huh? That's a contradicting statement. Saving tires = Less negative camber. Decrease understeer = achieved through increasing negative camber. Can't have both.

I like Vorshlag's camber plate as I run them on my KWs for my E36. They are quality camber plates. You need camber plates to adjust your camber more accurately because stock the most negative you can go is probably -1.2. There are not necessary as a lot of people run with just the stock top mounts but it will be a guessing game.

P.S. 11 track days for me so far this year. I would have gone through 3 sets of front tires already at low negative camber. Then there's Auto-X.

As long as you're not lowering the car too much, you can get it aligned for street use without camber plates. Ultimately it depends on what your after. The coilovers by themselves will allow you to corner balance the car. If you're aiming for a more aggressive street setup/mild track set up, then dialing in more neg camber is needed with the camber plates.

I'm not looking at going really aggressive with any alignment setting, but just want to make sure that I am not eating up tires due to the alignment not being dialed in right.
All good stuff, thanks for the comments guys!
