Put me down for "maybe".
Most of the problems will likely shake down over the first few years (during the standard warranty period). If it looks like I plan on keeping the car well past the warranty period, then I will get the extended. |

Probably not, unless problems run amok. My early '01 M3 has been very solid and I do not regret passing on the extended (though do have the 6/100k engine warranty for 4 more weeks!).
