Spotted E92 M3 testing on the ring
I've been down at the Nurburgring during the weekend. On friday afternoon Mercedes Benz and BMW were testing on the closed to the public Nordschleife. BMW had a black lightly disguised E92 M3 being tested. I can confirm that it has 4 exhaust outlets, was visibly as fast as MB's AMG TT V12 engined S class and CLK DTM being tested and sounded absolutely unbelievable.
You can hear that it's a V8.. but it's not a woofle. It's a hard edged bark, like a Ferrari F430. It looked rock solid through the bends, with little pitch and yaw. If you are thinking about one of these.... then wow.. you are going to have a heck of a car. I didn't have my camera... sorry. |

Hooray for more good news!!!
(If it seems that I always get excited with news and that I am easily convinced of things, then thats not right. I am just so open-minded when it comes to the BMW M division.) |

so ur saying that the new m3 is comparable to cars that cost about 3-5 times its price? thats basically living in fantasy land... and i love m3's but i know that it wont be comparable to a clk dtm or a tt s class.. because the m5 and the m6 arent even as fast as those...but i guess you didnt claim them to be as fast just visibly that fast...?

MB's cant turn for shit. Just look up the official Nordschleife times. Who's the current record holder? M3 GTR with 7 minutes and 1 second, that's who. Over 30 seconds faster than Porsche Carrera GT, for example.

Compararing the new M3 (which will be the flagship M model) to the 3 year old m5/6 isn't fantasy. It WILL out perform the then, 5 year old cars easily. Now maybe not on the highway at 190mph, but definitely on the tarmac and up to 100mph.
