Want to improve sound quality on my 2010 e90
So the sound quality on this car is too poor for my liking. I am considering getting a sub and an amp (not sure which setup), or just completely new speakers from
bmw speakers upgrade I am looking to spend about 5-600 on the equipment, and want to actually have some good bass, and louder/crisper sound. Any recommendations would be HIGHLY appreciated, it does not have to be limited to what i posted above. Just looking for a way to upgrade the stock system. Also, my rear seats do not fold down, thanks again guys. Last edited by infinitigor; 10-03-2010 at 10:03 PM.. |

This is a good topic. I like my e90, but the 6 speaker sound system could be better. I'm wondering if there is any way to add 2 tweeters into the a-pillar and use the existing weak amp...

You're going to want to read this:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=407085 And this (applies to 2010 and 2011 base stereo): http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395987 I think your budget won't work, I'm afraid. We usually swap the crappy low-wattage 6" underseat with 8" that should have been there in the first place, put 4" mid in the doors, put tweeters in the factory sails, and have an amp for it all - plus we need to normalize that signal. Can't do that for $500, I'm afraid. |

Add OEM HU/iDrive harness, OEM connectors for the front speakers, front and underseat spacers, amp wiring kit, RCA cables and new woofer wires and you are looking at $1200 in equipment only, no labor. A minimum of 5 hours would be required to install, and only if the installer have done this before. |
