2 PSI drop after forge DV install.

I have searched the forums and have installed and reinstalled these several times and i just am not holding boost like my stock dvs did. Could it be the vacum line that goes to the dvs ? If its leaking from the T could that cause boost leak and some lag ? I am sure these are installed correctly just wondering if anyone else experienced this. Maybe i missed something. Thanks for your help

2psi drop is alot for sure...there has to be a leak...Make sure the grey clips are in the locking position. Any boost leak will effect the performance and the lag your feeling is probably the leak causing the turbos not to spool up fast enough.

just looked and they didnt thank you though. Do you think a leak in the vacum line could cause a drop in psi and a leak ?

yea its very possible, check your lines again, maybe zip tie any questionable vacuum hose fittings. also check the silicone recirculation hoses too, sometimes with stett chargepipes the hoses are a tiny bit too short and if it was left uncorrected it would cause a leak, normally the back one under the cowl is the problem one.

I hope wheh you changed out the DV boost hoses that you didn't yank at them because alot of people crack the nipple at manifold from pulling at it.! Check the nipple on the manifold to see if its cracked...You better hope its not cracked because its a very expensive fix....

Here is the location of that nipple...pulling and tugging the DV hoses will in fact crack that nipple and if its not completely cracked off it will leak for sure..

It doesn't take too much muscle...there is not alot of slack in the hoses and any slight jerk to wiggle out the hose from the OEM DVs can cause the plastic nipple to rip off...I hope its not the case but that situation comes to mind when I tried to diagnose your problem...I hope I am wrong..

I actually went back to stock DVs after all the maintenance the Forge DVs required. They hold boost perfectly fine and I push up to 18psi at times. Personally I think they're a waste.

low 90's, I created a whole thread on differences in fuel quality. Gulf 93 octane FTW, Sunoco 93 octane FTL is what I found.
