BMW Assist

I was under the impression that BMW Assist was extended for the full 6 years on CPO vehicles. I just got a renewal message in email, which would be for the original 4 year warranty. Can anybody clarify?

Thanks.

BMW Assist is only free for the initial 4 years of the warranty. It is not included in the CPO warranty.

Thanks for the clarification. I've never used it, so probably won't renew.

I called BMW assist customer support via the car.

I asked if there was Assist on my 2007 CPO 335i. I'm the third owner. They said, no, it is for the owner of the car, not the car itself.

I would have to go to the dealer and sign up for the service under my name, the car has warranty for another year?!?!?!

You still have coverage for the rest of the warranty period, but you do have to go to the dealer to get it switched into your name.
