Awaiting delivery for 335is.keep current 04 m3?

Hey guys! New to this forum. Awaiting delivery for a 335is and contemplating if I should keep my 04 m3 in addition (88,000 miles). Do you think its worth the up keep and issues with the high milage M? Don't really need 2 cars but I figure I won't get anything off a trade.
Thanks for your input in advance!

if you feel theres no benefit in trading then keep it and maintain it well...not a bad thing when you have best of both worlds

I'd say keep for for now and see how it goes - if you're really not using it and want to get rid of it you can, but if you do now you may regret it

You could also turn it into a track car

Put it up for sale with a high price. If it sells, great. If it doesn't and you can afford the insurance, depreciation, maintenance, loss of investment return, etc., then enjoy.

sell it. Not practical to maintain and insure two cars for one driver unless you have a specific need for the M.

Owning a BMW to begin with over a fuel-efficient car with better reliability and cheaper maintenance isn't practical to begin with so....

Keep it..the M3 is a rock. Proven solid car...I owned an 03...never had 1 issue with it. Loaded with SMG.

Besides the vavle adjustment every 30K or so..that is really the only major item that needs adressing with the E46 M3.

But, if you want some bells and whistle, technology and some headaches..get the 335i, it has it nice features also as long as it stays reliable.

I agree with posting it at a high amount.
I had a 2008 CBR1000RR which was worth about $7k. I posted it for $7800 and sold it full price a week later. Now that's $800, but it's more than 10% higher than I was expecting. When you're talking thousands, it makes letting go of the M a little easier.

But I honestly think that it's a bit obsessive. Sell it!

Thx! the m3 still drives strong...had a scare 1 month ago when I brought it to North Scottsdale bmw when my smg warning lamp when off...dealer said it was a smg hydraulic issue....$4-5K....I said hell no. Need a second opinion, brought it to another dealer and it was reset...no problems thus far..just pissed off why one dealer pulled the trigger on the replacement of the whole tranny.....thats where all this hesititation came about. so far no more issues! hope it holds up. I figure i will be putting more miles on the is anyways once it comes in nov.

Sell it. You and I both know that problem is coming back, the first dealer told you the real story, the second dealer just wanted to impress you with a quick re-set, so they will now have a new customer to spend $4-5k in another couple weeks when the light re-appears.

I sold my M privately, took awhile but it happened. Two month I belive but I got $23,000 (CAD) for it and it was an 02 with 126,000kms on it.
