Price looks good! Don't know about the quality though? Plus if you have problems you'll need a knowledgable mechanic to work the bugs out cause you'll definitely have a few. Might be less headache to sell your car and buy a used 335.

There is no exhaust manifold. Thats one.
The quality is not something that should be in a Bimmer. Many parts are missing, and theyre still working on programming the turbo to work with the Valvetronic we have in our N52s. Follow Craven 328, he's working on this on his "Lets talk turbo" thread. |

Yeah...this falls under the category if it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is.

You didnt say if your auto or manual but the auto in the 328i is very different from the auto in the 335i. One is IIRC GM and the 335 is ZF. The GM is def not rated for the extra power. Ready to change out the tranny?
Why not just sell and get a 335? |

To be honest dude, I have been racing desert trucks and all kind of crud for years so... If your going to try this and you need a "personal mechanic" this is NOT for you!... You gotta learn how to work on your stuff. No offence intended but cmon...

NO NO NO
Just fabricating an exhaust manifold will cost a pile of money. Getting a tune to make this shit work will be very very difficult. Is there a wastegate? If there is it's external and will also be very very difficult to get to work. Saying you can put 27psig on a 328i with this kit is a total joke! Just sell/trade the car for a 335i and get a JB3/PROcede. This kit will be nothing but pain!

The fact that this exists and is being sold makes me think that there are def people buying it. How does this make economic sense??? I just bought a 328i and if I wanted the 335 it would have been about 4k more. The parts alone is 1/4 of the cost plus install and the undoubted headaches to come.
Is it really worth it? You just bought a ~$40k machine. Is it worth putting a $1k bush league upgrade into it and risk damaging core components??

Want a turbo then you should have bought a 335i - would have been cheaper then custom fabricating a custom turbo on your car. There is a lot more invloved than a simple plug and play "turbo kit".

I saw an almost identical kit with the same "should I get this" question over on DSMTuners. Even they were well against the kit, and most DSM upgrade parts com from Ebay and Home Depot. It's a "universal" kit with a claim of "it fits."
