Hahah I thought the same LOL.
OP, why did you buy a 328i if you want more power? You could have bought a 335i for a couple grand more and tuned it for next to nothing and had all the power you want for less then trying to mod the 328i with an unheard of engine swap.

OP, anything is possible.....however be prepared to spend at least 15K to buy an engine, drive shaft, diffs, transmission, mounts, a plethora of other accessories and modifiying your engine bay to fit a V8.
It is possible to fit a V8 in there...Hamann fit the M5 V10 in an E90 sedan. Sure you can turbo it....again add another 15K. Best solution: Trade in for an M3 or 335i and upgrade the turbos, FMIC, ECU, intake, etc. Prevent a headache and keep the warranty. Last edited by fdriller9; 09-14-2010 at 07:59 PM.. |

Or 335i. Sorry had to toss that in, by the sounds of it he is just looking for striaght line speed, so a 335i with a tune is the best solution.

It's been done to a 328 before (I've seen it personally). But it'll cost you an immense amount of money and time. And no matter how much money you throw at it, it's never quite right. Enjoy the 328, and save up for a 335 or M3 next.

Sorta like that juice commercial where the actor says "I should have had a V-8!"

Just FYI to save you come heartbreak - a BMW car is a Bimmer, a BMW bike is a Beamer (apparently).. and no, there is nothing much you can do with the 328 to increase power.. you can improve throttle mapping and sound but not really power. Head over to NA Engine Mod forum and get educated son!
