Auxiliary Power Socket Does Not Work
I have a 2011 335i Sedan. I have read in this forum that there is an auxiliary power socket on the driver side just below the glove compartment. So I decided to look for it...and sure enough it was there. However, when I tried plugging in my cell phone car adapter, I got no power (note: the car engine was running).
I then plugged my cell phone car adapter into the power socket in the center console...and it worked fine. Any ideas? Is there a separate switch to turn on the power socket under the glove compartment? |

Lucky...my 2009 doesn't have that power socket under glove compartment...does anyone else?
I think you shoudl go to dealer, explain the problem...and suggest they wire it correctly. |

Yeah I will most likely need to do that. I was hoping it was something simple that I was overlooking. Does anyone else have a 2011 335i with the auxiliary power socket under the glove compartment? Just wanted to know if it works or is it an option that you have to have the dealer wire in.
