New to the BMW world
I just picked up my first ever BMW last week. 2006 325i with the premium package, cold weather package, and sport package. A nice step up in luxury from my last car, 2002 Ford SVT Focus. Great car, very nimble. I loved every second of owning that car and hated to see it go. It was my first car that I paid for and I owned it for almost 6 years. So far I love the 325 and hope this isn't my last BMW! The wife will be up for a new car next in a couple of years and we're looking at an X5 for her. Anyway, here's a pic. Pretty bad quality since it was taken with my cell, but I'll try to get a few more up this afternoon.
Anything important I need to know about these cars? Thanks! BTW...pic wasn't taken at my house, that was on our weekend trip up to the in-laws, the trailer in the back is their "guest suite" haha. |

Haha, well, she got new shoes this weekend. BMW dealership went through the CPO process on this car and mistakenly had 225/45s all the way around and had the 8.5" width wheels in the front...strange...but they put a brand new matching set of Bridgestone RE050s on it Saturday at no cost.

Ok, so I found an annoying problem on my car and was wondering if anyone else had this problem. The driver's side power folding mirror doesn't seem to know when to stop. It folds in and keeps trying to fold for a few seconds really straining the motor. When you press to fold it back out in the normal position, it folds completely forward, skipping it's stop point, and does the same thing (strains the motor because it can't find the stop point). Looks like I'll be going in for service. Wouldn't be a big deal if I could just pop the mirror back into place, but it seems like the physical stop point is completely off from where it should be.

Problem fixed itself apparently. Went to my car this afternoon and the mirrors have magically adjusted themselves back into place and functions perfectly. Must be the magical BMW pixies...flew by and sprinkled some magic pixie dust on my car.
