"Stuttering" windshield wipers

Maybe it's becuase I don't know how the term is properly called but I can't find anything in the search.

Anyway, E92 335i, about 65k on the clock. The wipers "stutter" if the windshield doesn't have a lot of water on it. They stutter to to the point the point where I can feel vibrations throughout the whole car and I need to manually use them once every 5-10 seconds.
I bought new OEM wipers ($60!!) but that didn't help.
Any suggestions?

Whenever mine start to do that, I clean my windshield and wipers with Goo-Gone, then with water and they get nice and smooth again. I think it's just dirt and film that causes them to drag and stutter.

I personally don't mind it..... you can clean the wipers a bit with some oil based cleaners, it goes more smoothly on the glass

Clean your wipers and glass with a glass cleaner several times, black shit should come off. If that doesn't work replace your blades, with 65k on the clock it isn't terribly early to do so.

I had this problem when I got detail spray on the windshield. Some elbow grease and glass cleaner solved that issue.
