Replacement Lower Grills

Folks,

I've been wondering if anyone (BMW or aftermarket) makes replacement LOWER grills for the non-msport bumpers? I really want to get rid of the existing lower grills with that split line. Also, the grills seem to have portions of the honeycomb closed.

Why do I want to replace these:

* Better airflow for intercooler
* Better engine bay cooling
* I don't like the looks of the split line.

Let me show you what I am talking about...

This is how my current bumper looks like:

And this is how I want it to be:

Any ideas and suggestions are highly appreciated...

You can replace the silver rods with black ones for like $15 from tischer. Won't acheive better airflow but it certainly looks a lot better. There's a thread on it somewhere will post link

+1, you just need ones from a 328.

Ok... But do the 328 ones still have those slats/rods in the middle? If so, then its not what I am asking...

That's what every single BMW dealership lists my car as. All of my receipts that I have show 335is and they have the correct VIN number. Even BMWusa.com shows my model as 335is when I plug in my VIN. I asked the SAs of two dealerships and they both told me that their internal system does that to differentiate between cars with sport package and cars without...

Just to be clear, I have absolutely no illusions that I am driving an actual "is" model. I don't even like the way the coupes look like.

I've had that "Drives 2008 335is Sedan" on my profile before the actual "is" model was released. Only now people are beginning to flip out...

Yes they do...the silver rods come off and black ones go on instead. Other than that I haven't seen anything PnP that completely replaces the lower grills - maybe try pulling your bumper off and removing the grills altogether and replacing them with something to your liking

I already asked them and they dont sell the lower mesh without the rods. The only way you can get the look is to paint them black.

Not really style, but it looks good. Personally, I prefer OEM or just slight derivations therein.

How about using the lower grills from the M-sport bumper? Is that even possible on E90 non-LCI?
