Mod ideas: halogen upgrade and wheel for 2011 328 sedan
Just took delivery of a new 2011 328xi (or 328i x-drive if you prefer) sedan, space gray with black leather and thankfully has HK sound. It's steptronic (I have other toys that are manual, so this my official family car / daily driver with the 2 car seats in the back).
I was at end of lease on my 335xi and I had limited options--needing a car soon (and got a great deal on a car in-transit that was 95% of what I wanted). I loved my 335 but I didn't tap 10% of it's potential in daily driver mode, so...... Two things I want to address soon: --Stock non-sport steering wheel replacement. Would the M3 Tri-color stitch wheel (or M-Tech wheel) look ridiculous in a 328? --Halogen replacement: What is the best Xenon option for an LCI car that looks stock? Looking more for rock-solid reliability than "it's great when it works" It's my daily driver--it has to work. Thanks, Dave

Doesn't matter what engine you have, M3 steering wheels look the balls. It'll be expensive if you don't already have the sport steering wheel (you need to purchase the sport airbag) but it'll look great
There are some good HID conversion options out there (MTech, Phillips, etc..) I'm sure vendors will be able to help out Congrats on the new ride, you'll love it! |
