quick question:simota cf or rep gruppe m??? plz help

im considering on buying an intake fairly soon, and have come down to 2 choices based on numerous searches:
im gettin the intake mostly for sound, and a good price

the simota cf is like around $350 i think someone selln on this forum for that price (jlevi i think?)
and the rep gruppe m is like around $500 shippd i heard, but i dont know where to get that one (plz lemme know if u know)

i dont think anyone has done this comparison, so im asking yalls opinion, and if it has been answerd already, plz point me to where answer is

so based on searches, results, clips, knowledge:
which one of the two will give me a better sound?
which one of the two will give me better performance?
im mainly concerned bout sound (that nice deep sound from engine), cuz intake dont give much hp if anything, but if i get some, y not
i heard simota gave 1 hp, and i dont know bout rep gruppe m?
there close in price, so whichver one is truly better, ill get
thanks once again

i have the simota cf intake.
if you want that deep sound from the engine then simota is just the thing for you. its gains are about 1hp. not much but ehh. as for the gruppe m i heard thers a +5 hp. plus i like the way the gruppe m is placed in the engine.
i too want to invest in that product. but i dont know where to get one.
ne who simota is a lot cheaper. good luck with the decision.

thanks a lot guys, im leaning more towards the simota cuz cheaper anyway, plus lot of people say it has a real nice deep sound from engine, and i hope that will go nicely with my eisenmann race exhaust.
i honestly just want a nice deep sound comming from my car altogether, so when i fly by someone, they know its german, and not ur typical japanese loudness.

btw... so rep gruppe m will give me a bit more power than simota, but how is it compared in sound? is it not really that noticble?
i think one member said it was audible, but not too loud, more of a light howl

I did not know Gruppe M made a red one for our cars. I think they only make cf so I dont know if there is a difference.

i dont really care too much about power, but its nice to have
does no one know how the rep gruppe m's sound is in comparison to simota??? i know for power it somewhere around +5hp.

i have the gruppe m and it sounds crazy good and i love it. i have to say i had some problems with it for like the first few days but now its great. power gains are kinda low thou. i think we all established on the post that there isn't an intake for the e90 that give mind blowing gains.

ahh now i hear that both sound really good
one says simota is "nice deep sound from engine"
and one says rep gruppe m "sounds crazy good"

im confused again lol
simota is around $350
rep gruppe M is around $500

if they both sound about the same, im gonna go with simota (cheaper)
but if gruppe m is really that much better sounding, i dont mind spending the $$$.
can we get some soundclip comparisons? preferably these intakes with the rest of car being stock? or maybe just some more opinions from people with these intakes or good knowlege of?
yalls inputs are great:rocks:

i know that the simota intake comes in both carbon fibre and fiberglass, does anyone know which one is better performance wise? I am sure cf looks nicer, but does the cf intake perform better, like blocking heat, etc....

i'm looking for the real gruppe m. I've heard some sketchy stories of the replica such as idle problems. Anyone know anything about this?

hm.. interested. haha from what i hear noturavg3, is that in overall package, the gruppe m is hte best, but the priciest. but if you can pick up a rep gruppe m and it performs with the same specs, i too woudl like to pick one up.
