Can someone suggest a good selling price for my BMW 325 se
I am in the process of selling my 2008 BMW 3 SERIES 325i [3.0] SE 4dr Auto. A dealer has offered me £14,000 in P/X, can anyone suggest a competitive retail price that will allow to to successfully sell the car in Autotrader? Once I have your suggestions I will work out a price and let you know the results - if I have one!!.
Appreciate your thoughts on this. The cars description:- Only 9,300 miles since new. Efficient Dynamics 4 door saloon, petrol, black sapphire metallic finish, black dakota leather, sports seats, 6 speed automatic with paddle shift, ABS, c/control, central locking, immobiliser, alloy wheels, 3 spoke multi-function sports leather steering wheel, radio with single CD player, dual climate control air conditioning, park distance control, rain sensor with auto, electric windows, auto headlights, original tools and first aid kit, Supaguard, taxed, serviced in March 2010. manufacturers warranty until March 2011, very economical 32.4mpg last 1000 miles and £175 annual road tax. FSH. Lovingly cared for since new by one careful owner. new car arriving in October. Last edited by Fritz; 10-04-2010 at 04:51 PM.. |

I'm just going through the same process of selling a petrol engined 3 Series.
I think you will find the petrol values are about £1000 less than the numbers mentioned above. £16,950 is good value compared to an AUC price, but probably a little high for a private sale, I would think to ask nearer £16K and accept just a little under. One method I find useful is to get a free valuation from www.webuyanycar.com and then add on about 10% to 12% to arrive at a realistically achievable private sale price. If the trade price on your 325i is around £15K, then most dealers will normally offer you about £1K below that level to take into account any work they may have to do to bring it up to showroom level. Hence the not surprising £14K you've been offered so far. The dealer will then stick on another £3 to £5K to arrive at a showroom price and pay for the dolly birds, fish tanks and coffee machines. Good luck |

Sold
Only managed to get £16,500, which was below my target price. However, the customer was fantastic, a real gentleman who made the whole transaction enjoyable. Mind you hated walking behind him with all the cash from one bank to the next, if only Chaps was nearly instant.
Thanks for your help |
