Getting my Car Clear-Bra'd next weekend

I'm having the 3M Clear Bra installed on my car next weekend....Is there anything I should do before getting it done (i.e. wash, wax??)

Just a good hand wash and claybar. Make sure you spray the water in all the nooks and crannies of the nose to remove any possible dirt that may come out when the Bra is being applied.

If you car has a front plate, remove it before the install. This will
save your installer some time.

Yes a good claying session with your car will remove all imputities that will show up (slightly up close) when the water underneath begins to evaporate (cure) through the film(approx. 30 days).
Most installers will clay a car before hand, but no one will take the greatest amount of care as the owner him/herself.

Luckily, my dealer was kind enough not to install the front plate and gave me the option. Does claybar'ing replace the need of waxing?

Which kit you are doing and how much you are paying to get it done? I'm waiting for my ED car to come in and thinking about doing the 3M bra as well.

Thanks

Hello:
I am getting the hood, fenders, grille, side mirrors done for about $700. Still waiting for confirmation from the dealer though.

I had the Clear Bra installed yesterday, he didn't use 3M but another film called Venture or something. He did a great job, I would recommend getting it done. Even if you have a dark car like mine, you can't really see the seam unless you look up close. Thanks for all the tips everyone.

At first, I was hesitant because I had not seen it on a dark car like mine, but I was really amazed - you can't even see the seam unless you look very closely in sunlight.
