pretty impressed w/ bmw electronic key durability

so my gf decides to do my laundry and throws in my pants that had one of my electronic key for my 335 w/o checking the pockets. needless to say, i was pretty pissed with the thought of having to replace it seeing that it would cost a few hundred to replace and recode. so we let the remote cool down and tried it and to my surprise the darn thing still worked. this thing withstood a heavy load cycle and a dryer set on high. and now is a lot cleaner.

Wow! Thats great to know. With CA, I never think about the key fob (other than putting it in my pocket in the morning) and I'm certain it will get washed sooner or later.
