HPFP replaced last week...Back in the shop today

So after 5 days at BMW of Sudbury and a replaced hpfp and a switch of coils from cylinders 1 and 3, my car continued to run like trash. I went to NYC for the weekend and drove it to work this morning. After 5 minutes of driving my CEL came on again and it is back in the shop.

Shop foreman says it must be the injectors and that he wanted to replace them along with my hpfp last night but BMW wouldn't let him because they assumed that would have fixed any/all problems.

I have owned the car since July 21 and it has been in the shop for 9 days now.

Part of my wants to get rid of the thing and get a 335 vert. If I could only find the right one at the right price >35k.. with sport package and 6 spd

Sorry to hear that bro. It's funny some people have very little or no problems with the N54, others have numerous. I had my 135i for about a year and a half and did not have one issue. I will admit that it only had 13k when I traded it in but it was well driven. Hope everything works out for you. If the problem persists after the second fix call BMWNA and give them an earful.

Well, in Massachusetts, the lemon law states that if the same problem arises 3 times within the first year of ownership, it qualifies as a lemon and you have rights. http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=ocatermi..._law&csid=Eoca

Sorry to hear about the reoccuring issue.

I brought my car in for service today at sudbury as well. It was not a very pleasing expericence to hear my SA is no longer here (but my new SA is a very nice guy) and that they never had any BMWs for loaner cars before.

Thanks for the support guys. Herb Chambers gives you 30 days to exchange the car but I just went past that.

Even if I did, it is so hard to find a 335xi with a 6spd and Sport, Prem, and CW Packages with low miles.

Do you guys think the new injectors will fix the issue based on what you have heard from most people's horror stories with their N54?

Still waiting for my first call from the dealer with an initial assessment. Who knows where this will go?

I had my pump and injectors replaced at the same time and I feel a difference.
I would push on getting the injectors replaced. Crank takes half a second and no rough idle.

Damn, that sucks. I've had my car 2 years now and fingers crossed, no problems with HPFP yet.

Sparks and Injectors did it for me. Spark plugs are really simple to do and can make a world of difference.

Sparks and injectors replaced. Definitely feel a world of difference. They didn't notice that squeaky sound coming from the front right wheel, but it is still bothering me so much.

squeaking ya say.....Check your bushings on the suspension components. Just reach your hand down there and pull. Hopefully nothing has excessive play.

Glad the car is running now.
