FS: Omega Seamaster 300M Quartz

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Omega Seamaster 300M Quartz

Purchased 9/27/2003 from Harstans Jewelers, an Omega Authorized Dealer. The watch was worn almost daily but never abused. I work in an office environment so it was never exposed to the harsh elements on a constant basis. I’ve never had a single issue with this watch. It’s tough enough for daily wear, but classy enough to wear out at night.

The condition of the watch is 8/10. It’s not flawless; I consider flawless new, there are some minor abrasions on the underside of the clasp. These can be polished out or the clasp can be replaced. The crystal on the dial is as 9.9/10, for me 10 is flawless/new. The polished bezel is in superb condition with minor signs of use.

I purchased this watch for $1109.03 (inc Tax) in September 03 after I talked the guy down from $1537.00 (inc Tax). I’m aware you could find this watch “online” for $1200; however most of these watches are not authentic US models and carry no warranty on defects and US dealers will not service them. The warranty expires on my watch 27 September 2006 just to be clear. However, I’ve owned Omega’s for most of my life and not once can I remember a watch I’ve owned has needed more then routine service. This watch will not need service until summer 2008 at the earliest.

I’m selling because it’s time to upgrade. I’ve recently purchased two new watches: A Breitling Navitimer World & a Breitling Superocean Steelfish X-plus. I really don’t need this one any longer since it has the same functionality as the Steelfish. I’m going to put the money away into an account to save for the Breitling for Bentley Motors 6.75 next year.

Price: $700 shipped 2-day Insured. I am no longer wearing the watch so it sits in my desk drawer with the others ready to go. I will cover Paypal fees should you choose to pay that route. Otherwise I accept Cashiers Check.

I got a mid-size one from Costco in NorCal for $1050. However, Costco has lifetime warranty on watches. Good luck with your sale.

I thought CostCo didn't honor the manufacturer's warranty on watches? Do they offer some other independent warranty?

Anyway, BUMP for a nice watch at a nice price!

This is an outstanding deal. I recently had mine refurbished, and is a daily wearer. Quartz is the way to go if you don't want to keep servicing your timepeice. I spent $200 after 5 years, including a new battery, and comlpete restoration.
I have several nice timepeices, and this is my favorite. As a result I wear it 99% of the time.

So heres a bump and a couple of pics of mine after the cosmetic re-furbishing. It is six years old and looks like new again!!

That's the idea!!

Even though I have no vested interest in this sale, I love the watch!

Like I said, I have had mine since '01, and every time I buy a nice watch, hoping to wear it, I keep going back to my Seamaster.

I personally think it is a timeless design. It is big, but has a slim profile, and fit's the wrist nice.

BTW the pics are of mine, not the sellers, and the attached is the last one I have. I don't take photos of my watch! The only reason I have those is the guy who re-furbished it E-mailed them to me before he shipped it back, so I could see the work.
