20" tire recommendations.....

OK. Taking delivery of my F10 end of Sept and decided to upgrade to the 20" BMW 356 wheels, ditching the 18" wheels and RFTs.

Now, what 20" non-RFT tires do you gurus recommend? Will be doing mostly city driving here in Hong Kong and no long distance highway trips. Flat tires are not an issue here as I can always call my tire shop 24hrs a day and get help in less than 30 mins.......

Thinking about the following sets:

1) Pirelli Nero Max Performance 20". 245/35R20 and 275/30R20 (FR)
2) Michellin PS2 20" 245/35R20 and 285/30R20 (FR)

Which set will be quieter? Currently leaning towards the Pirelli's as I am using PZero Merc spec on my C55 and loving it. and also heard a lot of people complaining uneven wearing with the PS2 due to the 2 different compounds used on the outer and inner threads.......

Or any other suggestions? The new BS S001 is not available in 20" yet, at least not locally in HK.....

Any comments are much appreciated.

Thanks.

since f10 is a bigger car, wouldn't 295's or 305 be better at the rear ?

Thought about that but I believe 275/285 will be sufficient to transmit the power to the road surface. 295/305s will probably create more drag and waste more gas than necessary......

Finally decided. BMW 356 20" wheels. P Zero (new Hero) 245/35R20, 285/30R20.

Got a fair deal to swap my ugly factory 329 18"+RFT, adding around HKD30K (~USD4K). (Fair locally anyway)

Very nice, the 356 is one of the best styles for the F10 IMO!

What color is your F10 going to be?

Here's one of my favorite pics of this wheel:

Haven't checked. I am one of those that if the car doesn't feel right, I will drive direct to the shop and scream at the mechanics
