Shell V-Power Diesel

I notice that Shell has been offering Shell V-Power diesel in 30 stations accross the south east and will shortly be offering it nationally. Has anyone tried it yet? Is there any noticeable improvement in performance and/or MPG? It is 6p more per litre which given current diesel pump prices is quite a bit...no doubt 4p of that is tax!

Thats all "darn sarf" mate - no good for us northerners! The BP ultimate stuff is quite good though!

Not made it out to the sticks yet, so I can't comment personally.

However, a quick google and bit of a browse brought out the following thread:

Seems that they (including a "Rocketron" in an E90 320d - is that E90Posts Rocketron?) find quieter running, but increased fuel consumption.
