Do Not Use Global Imports
horrible customer service, will NEVER buy from them again, after getting 3 BMW's from them, you'd think you'd receive good service...but no, thats wrong, they are pricks and have no customer service--they think they're the only BMW dealers in the area---well here's a note to Global--you arent

I was originally going to purchase my E90 335 from them. However, their staff was not very helpful. The most helpful person for me was actually in the pre-owned department. I was looking for the unique color combo of Black Sapphire on Terra and Nalley was the only dealer in town with a car on the lot with the options I wanted. Nalley treated me well. Combined with that and the inventory on-hand, they got my business.

I was dealing with Global Imports when looking for my 335. I can't remember the name of the guy there, but he actually gave me the best deal that I found on the car, but would not email me the details. He also pulled "this deal is only good until 3:00." Something just smelled over the phone and even though Global had the best deal, the bad feeling made me decide not to take the deal and go with the one from Nalley. Adrian at Nalley was great and the transaction was the least painful of any of the cars I have bought in the past.
Since then I have talked to a few people who have had bad experiences and am happy that I trusted my gut about the guy at Global. dolby

Hey I went to Nalley too for my 335. Pretty decent there. Their service dept can be mediocre but overall good.
Anyone know anyone in atlanta that wants some style 162 sport package 18" wheels? :P Send me a PM. I put a thread up in MarketPlace on here. |

People have experiences like that at all dealerships from all makes. Including my own. Keep in mind, there is a reason why Global is the 25th largest BMW dealership in the country, certainly the largest in the Mid South region, and has been in business for 30 years AND has 3 Center Of Excellence awards. But these are meaningless. Why? People are people and not all personalities get along.

Agreed on Global
I totally agree that Global is worthless in regards to CS - each time I take my car into the dealer, they always have a hard time 'scheduling' me in (due to the fact that I did not buy from them). I was thinking about turning my 325 in for a 335, and keep getting harassed by the dealer I worked with. Ironically, when I went into the dealership, the person harassing me didn't even recognize me! I think I'll head to Nalley from now on...
Do any Atlanta folks know of a good BMW certified installer other than the dealers? I want some after-market stuff added, but I don't trust the quotes and CS of any ATL dealer. |

For what it's worth I have had excellent service from Global imports. I really like my salesperson who was an engineer with BMW for 26 years before "retiring" to sales. I had the iPod kit installed, had them repair curb damage to a rim and had to get the front bumper replaced because the original paint had a defect. Everytime they saw me on my schedule (came and picked up my car and dropped off a loaner at my office one time). They gave me a fair price for the stuff they charged me for. And I would recommend them based on my personal experience.
With that said I have dealt with a Nalley dealership in Atlanta and had wonderful service from them as well. |

I have had nothing but the best from Global. I think that every dealership has its good and bad times. considering that Global has an enormous customer base so I don't expect to have same day service but often i still do. Give them a break, I'm sure Nalley and United have just as many hectic days as Global...

my opinion is there are jerks at every dealer, and then there are people who really want to help you out. I never understood salesman that don't call you back or give good customer service, how dumb can you be?

While I agree that there are good and bad Sales Rep's at all dealers of all makes, I also had a bad experience at Global. Basically, I wanted to order a 335i, and I told them how much I wanted to pay each month for the lease. We sat down and tried to figure out my options for almost 5 hours, and the whole time the SA kept trying to get me to buy one on the lot. Every time I asked him about pricing on a new one he kept raising his estimate "after talking to his manager" and kept increasing the wait time. after they gave me their "best offer" on a car that was a little like what I wanted, I walked out saying that I needed to think about it. I then went to BMW of South Atlanta (formerly Hank Aaron BMW/Mini) because that is where I got my Mini. They offered to order the car for me for $15 more a month than Global's "best offer" on a car whose sticker price was $7000 less. I would not judge them except that I had the same experience when I bought my Mini. I know that there are good people at Global, cause I have some friends that have great things to say about Emile there. But for my money, I am going to go to a place where they will put my preferences for a car over their desires to get rid of one. Orlando at BMW of South Atlanta was great and not evasive at all, that's why I gave him my business.
just my 2 cents. BTW, I just ordered the car on 8/18, and I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT!!!! |

I would be curious to know which sa that was. I used to work at Global and I gotta tell you they are some of the most decent and hard working people I have ever come across in this business. My personal favorites are Rob, Pastor Huggins (he really is a pastor) and Emile. Any one of those three guys will take excellent care of you.
