Opinion on 335d price, please
Thanks in advance.
I have the opportunity to pick up a 2010 335d, JB, optioned: Black leather/dark walnut ZPP ZSP w/paddles Nav Convenience Package Heated seats Dual park distance control Premium Sound USB/iPod Smartphone 1 year Sirius The car has 800 miles on it - warranty started in mid April. The price is $43,650. What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger? Thanks. J Last edited by MrClean; 07-13-2010 at 04:44 PM.. |

Over $56,000, but you have to take off the $4500 eco credit, plus anything you can negotiate. Problem is, there are damned few '10s optioned like that anywhere near me. I could pass on the shades and the Smartphone, but I like the other stuff.

You should be able to get at least 2500 of MSRP and then take the 4500 eco-credit.
Then your in the ball park. I would want something for the two lost months of warrant, be creative. HS |

Yes, I would plan on keeping the car for a long time. I'm not hot on the color (JB), but could live with it if the deal is good. There are very few used 335d's around the country, and very few new '10s optioned like I want. Dealers aren't quite as flexible with '11 negotiations, which is why I'm starting with the '10s.

That's similarly optioned to mine and the price (before tax) is about 4k cheaper than what I got mine for. Granted, mine was fresh from the factory with 6 miles on it, but 2 months and 800 miles isn't all that much either. As long as you've examined it and everything checks out on the car itself, I say go for it.

I wouldn't get a car without a folding rear seat. You can improve a crappy stereo system, awful hard to add a folding rear seat, ant it is soooooo handy.

I think it's a pretty good price. Is it an executive demo or something? I assume they are already taking out eco-credit, if eligible?
New invoice price on this is close is around $50k according to edmunds. I was just in your boat the last couple weeks, and actually was going to keep my original 335i, but found a good deal on a '11 335d with a dealer willing to deal Tried to find a suitable MY10, but couldn't find one to my liking. |

I don't think messing with the audio is an easy thing on our cars - I've had several car audio shops talk me out of mods to the system.

I put in BSW speakers on my own some months ago, because I HATED the sound system in the car. It took a lot longer than I expected (there weren't videos online as I was told there would be). However it wasn't all that difficult and the sound is much better now (still room for improvement - it needs a better amp). The price wasn't cheap though - $600. Still, I wouldn't worry about upgrading the sound system. Lots of people do it - check out there audio section of e90 post.
