Took the 335 to the track for the first time.
I was running pretty consistently but i wan't impressed with my times.
I ran several 13.1's @ 106 (1.9 60ft) and a few worse from less than stellar launches. My car has an afe dci, secondary cat delete/"custom" exhaust with mostly factory piping, and a jb3 with the latest and greatest firmware. I did my best run after switching DOWN to map 3, after 5 dissapointing runs on map 5 (13.3 s to 13.5, and 1 13.1) that weren't much better than stock, and i don't attribute it to driver error, so i donno whats wrong with my car... Also its a 6mt with michelin pilot sport PS2 ZP's, |

not sure about the pump issue (it never really has been that fast since the install except for when i first put it on, it ripped pretty decently, if i recall correctly, for a day or 2 at the most).
the 1.9 60ft was on 3, think i did a few 2.0's and a 2.1 on map 5, all runs trapping around 105 to 106, i have the slips somewhere, jsut can't find them. temps were about 75-78 degrees, not too far above sea level (no more than 100 feet if that), humidity was there, but not insanely high. I dont really have much wheel spin at all on map 5, seems like its a little more robust in 1st and second on map 3, not that i don't like traction, but it seems like it should. Unless my pilot sport ps2 zp's have that much more grip than the oem bridgestones. I know my car doesn't have the original software anymore (it updated apparenlty when they programmed my alarm after the install... but its not the newest, should be whatever version was out last summer. a typical rule of thumb for 1/4 mile is that 1 tenth on the 60 ft = 2 tenths at the end of the strip. So giving up 2 tenths on your 2.1 short time, probably cost you about .4 on your ET compared to when you were able to cut a 1.9 60ft. So you were probably getting a bit more wheel spin on map 5.
but at the same time, having more power should increase your mph (even if your ET doesn't drop). Did most of the map 5 runs show higher traps than most of the map3 runs? If not, then that would indicate that map 5 isn't giving you as much top end power as it should. But when you can't get that perfect launch, it can be tough to see modest hp gains at the strip. Also, is map 5 meant for race gas? and were you running regular pump gas? |

i did a 2.0 60 foot on map 5 (93 oct) and a 13.2 or 3. I also had more power/spin in 2nd gear on map 3 than on map 5, i honestly think on the whole, map 3 seems better.
