Melbourne red with Walnut any pics?

Ok my 23i DSB with beige and ash interior is going to be replaced with an iS.

Wife wants Melbourne red, black interior and 326's. I've seen this and it's a bit bland with the black leather IMO.

Thinking walnut might look good but I need some real pics. Anyone seen this combo?

If I want the car for August I need to order ASAP.

I saw a Deep Sea Blue with walnut interior today at our local club meet in Hershey, PA. It is a nice combo BUT the walnut interior has a very distinct "orange" tint to it, much more so than saddle. I would advise looking at a car with walnut before placing your order.

Maybe the photos do not do justice. I am not sure of the walnut interior. But, I would be willing to see the color in person if there is one available.

I have seen it in the flesh, I love 'tan' interiors but to me it's just too pooy brown. Maybe it's because of all the black on the dash and doors with only splashes of walnut......nah i'm not havin' it.

Still, like someone said on here...'no bad colour combo' we all have different tastes and drive a lovey motor.

My own opinion is that the walnut, (which I really considered) is too orange. I was hoping it would be a warmer brown. It reminds me of the baseball optic seats in the Audi TT. I didn't feel it was a good match against my color choice, Crimson Red. Against white, gray or black, I think it complements perfectly. It wouldn't be a color I would pick under Melbourne Red, but that's what makes the world go round!

I think BMW have got their leather colours wrong....for me the red leather is too orange and the walnut isn't brown enough!!
Go black it's safe and re-sellable.

I'm happy to read others feel the "walnut" is more orange than brown. This is exactly what I felt when I saw it in the flesh yesterday in Hershey. I like the saddle a lot better. I do not think walnut would look good with red interior, black would be OK as would DSB and white.

While, I'm reluctant to add to the direction this thread is taking... (X color looks like crap)... I'll simply suggest the common phrase "To each his own".

We all have preferences... I happen to think the Walnut leather is GREAT, perhaps for some of the reasons that others think it's not. It isn't ordinary...

As for not being well planned... I was taking a morning drive this past weekend and noticed that when the sun hit the grain highlights in the ash wood trim it complimented the leather perfectly. In a "Wow... look at that" moment... this caused me to conclude just the opposite.

Just looking at Lux Good's Space Gray Z... I know you have some taste ... but really... "Go black it's safe and re-sellable" (Yawn!)

How about... go Walnut, it's exciting, distinctive and sporty!

After all, there's a reason the Italians have been using a Red/Walnut combo on many of their iconic cars.

Z4 Andy, it's common sense that everyone should see a sample of the color combinations they are choosing... but most folks here will back your final decision... there really are no bad choices.

Don't let others scare you away (sheepishly) from any color... go with your heart. Unless, of course, you are thinking about the napa white

Oh... and Lux Good... what the heck are you FEEDING your dog?!?

Sorry forgot to mention...yes the Italians do red/tan combo....but their's is all tan...dash, doors, etc. i do think that the walnut with all the bits of black would look better ALL walnut...IMHO!!

Okay, okay - point made... but how about some examples (both old and new) a little closer to home (for you Brits)... Walnut ROCKS!

Cheers!
