How do I find the oil level indicator on an 09 335i

I have looked and searched and either Im over looking it or I am just plain dumb. I just picked up the car last Friday and Im trying to see what my oil level is at and when my next service is due. I plan to change the oil in between the freebies but if I have a service due soon Im not going to bother with it now. I just can't figure out how to find this info.

The car is a 2009 Sedan without i-drive.

Don't drill me too hard, I really did look for a while on here and google trying to find a how too for dummies.

Thanks!

Awesome thanks! I guess it doesn't display unless the car is running and at temp, makes sense. I was trying this a few mins ago with the engine off, now I really feel dumb haha.

So is there a way to see when you are due for service or do you just get an indicator? I would like to get my oil changed soon since written records show 9,981 miles when it was last changed and Im at 20,5xx now.

You should change your oil every 5k miles, especially in a turboed car.

Well I am coming from a highly modded 457rwhp C5 and I changed the oil every 4k and always used Mobile 0w-40 so I have a decent stock of it in storage. Once I figure out when my next service is due I will get on a schedule to change it a lot more often but set the intervals to take advantage of the freebie as well.

Thats why I am trying to find out when my next "due" BMW service is.

Every 15k miles or once a year. If it's been over a year since the last oil change BMW will cover the change even if it's not at 15k miles. You can bring it to the dealer and have them scan your key; he'll be able to give you your full service history at that point.

Yes I know the "standard" BMW maintenance schedules. I might go ahead and change the oil this weekend.

I guess I should buy the BMW oil and not flip flop between Mobile1 0w-40 and then have BMW use there 5w-30 for scheduled changes.
