AutoX with stock RFT's

Hey guys,

I'll be AutoXing in two weeks for the first time. My car is completely stock except for a DCI and it has the auxillary oil cooler.

My main question- is it OK to AutoX with the stock runflats? I don't plan on doing this any more than 2 or 3 times a year. I did some searching but couldn't find anything.

You'll be fine. Autox does not put too much stress on your tires. Doesn't really matter anyway. Don't plan on winning your class

Haha yea I know, I'm doing it just for the thrill. I've always wanted to track a car, I've just had trucks my whole life. Now that I can, I'm excited to.

Thanks though!

I won my class once, and came in a close 2nd place once when I was running on RFTs.

For OP, make sure you run higher pressures up front. It'll prevent excessive outer shoulder wear on the front tires.

eh?

It puts a ton of stress on your tires. You can wear them out in no time autocrossing. Don't even think of doing it at street PSI.
