G-meter Tested E90

i did a couple of runs last week with the beltronics g-meter, temperature was 37 degrees......1st run with DTC on was 5.9 sec, 2nd time with it off and power braking to 3500 rpm, 5.7 sec....3rd run was power brake launch at 2500 rpm and , 5.38 sec.........so i got consistent runs, just wondering if any of yous have had similar results??

its not impossible. 330 is lighter, more hp, more torque, has a good auto tranny, and was a power launch. if you wouldve asked me, i wouldve guessed those numbers aswell.

whatever bmw says its supposed to do doesnt mean a thing because its usually at least a half a second faster. I had a 2002 330i and it was supposed to be 6.7 and i was doin times of 6.2.

Just a little side note, i ate up a 05 body style acura tl type S tonite from a roll 90 - 138mph......wooo hooo!!:rocks:

Where the hell were you able to go 138MPH in New York? I assume it wasn't downtown Manhattan.

Lighter than what? More torque than what? Great numbers, but a little too good. The G-meter needs to be calibrated.

Pretty sure he's not referencing a 335i. 330 has 258HP and 221 ft-lb torque. Just sliiiiiiiightly less than a 335i with 300HP and 300 ft-lbs torque. I believe 5.9-6.0s... not 5.38... Although I could be wrong.

Have you input your cars curb weight? And Drag coefficient? if not, your times are not really that accurate...

this is coming from a guy that believes his 325 manual would be as fast as, if not faster than, BMWexec's 330 auto.

not flaming, just pointing out the slight hypocricy in your criticism of the OP

not defending him, but he said "05 body style Type S"

05 body style does not equate to 05, and there is a Type S for the 05 body style (current body style)
