Re-Wiring Little Speaker Behind Seat

I am installing a new sound system in my 2003 z4. I took apart most of the car and now I have access the speakers behind the seats.

I need to figure out how to connect new speaker wire to the small ~3.5" speaker that is above the bigger woofer. I attached a pic of what I can see. It looks as though there is a stock clip that clips into one of the squares (see pic. But, on either side of both of those square clips are two small metal prongs.
Can I clip onto these?
Which one is positive?

Thanks,
Trevor
