E92 Interior Limo-Lights Issue

Hey everyone... tonight I was driving and noticed that on both doors there is a part of the limo lights that shows light coming out the top instead of the bottom as though the black plastic that holds the lights is warped. On the passenger side this area is right before the grab handle and the same distance on the driver side (there is no grab handle there). Is this normal or are my lights warped? I hope this is not an issue already

The funny thing is if you feel underneath the lights going from the back towards the front you can feel where they end and this coincides with no more light showing out the bottom, the light i see is a little further towards the front but coming out a space between the black trim that holds the lights and the vinyl of the doorsill by the window

hmmm......yeah me too. exactly the same issue. I'm going to have this checked out during my oil change

Have you noticed it has always been like this since delivery or just recently? I can't remember myself as I just noticed it tonight....

Hmmmmm....I don't seem to have this problem, as far as I can tell anyway. My light doesn't seem to be that bright though, either. Are those lights at one constant setting? Or can they be brightened?

Wow... mine look nothing like that -- a VERY muted dim light just enough to reflect on the door handle.

I'm guessing that picture is a long exposure shot to capture/intensify the lights.

Mine is like that too, as far as being dim.... that is not what i am asking though..... I can still see that light sticking out the top on the far left even though mine are like yours (dim).. is this normal??

That is what mine looks like with the small bit of light coming out the top. Brightness is controlled by the dash board light. The setting with the line of boxes the more boxes you have filled the brighter the light. Bottom line - don't know if that is the way the door lighting should be.

It seems that this is a flaw that is quite common......it's a little annoying though. I mean a 50K car should not have this issue.

Even the pics that BMW posted when they launched the coupe had this issue. TG I don't see this in my car. It might be a manuf tolerance issue so you see it in some cars and on others you don't
