Do 335i coupe people think they are better then 328i coupe people???
I was one of the first to roll out with my 328i coupe earlier this year. As the past few months have gone by i've been seeing more and more coupes on the road. Mostly, 328's but a few 335's. Everytime I see one I try to catch up to it to give the owner a thumbs up or something. All BMW owners have a brotherhood, ya know. Its the reason most people who own BMWs always come back to BMW car after car. Anyways, today I was driving behind an AW335i coupe, new tags and everything. I pull beside him, give him a little honk and a thumbs up. I couldnt believe the reaction this f**ker gave me. He gave me a whimpy thumbs up and a sour puss face like he was better than me or something. What is that about. Then he tries to show off by accelerating at the next light, and I am just like OMG hes an idiot. Its poooooorringg outside and this guy wants to floor his new 300hp bimmer. What an idiot. Ye a BMW is nice, but in the area i live, it ain't nothing to brag about.I felt like slapping him saying, get your head straight. Your not better than me cause you have a 335i while I have a 328i. The 328i is my daily driver, I also have a porsche 911 carrera s convertible, which I use on the weekends. Honestly, the 335i is a great car, but there is no need to show off to 328i people. We're all BMW owners and lovers, why can't we just get along.

he probably couldnt tell you had a 328. theres no difference to the layfolk, especially an idiot like that. people who can tell a difference would probably give the same respect. both cars are amazing in their own right

i don't know about other 335i owners, but I definitely don't feel i'm superior to 328i owners. They are both GREAT cars! and each have their pros and cons. For example, I have driven both and I can honestly say the 328i definitely have betther throttle response than the 335i. Some people will always be as*holes, doesn't matter what car they're driving, they'll always think they're better than anyone else on the road. I wouldn't stress about people like that!

Yes, they think they are better than you because they have you beat by 7i. I've got you by 2i, so I'm better than you, too. Just not by as many i.
 Kidding. There are a lot of idiot drivers out there, whether they're in a 335i, 328i, 760Li, or whatever I really don't care. Just drive courteously for chrissakes. I happen to get a lot of idiot BMW drivers trying to show off around me. I don't know why. Maybe they think, black 330i, sport package, tint... looks like he wants to race. Well, I don't. Get over yourselves.

Dumbarse probably thought you were egging him on to race. I always throw props to my fellow bimmer drivers (regardless of model). I have to say....quite a few are idiots though. Power corrupts I guess

Bleh, I wish I could see a nice BMW driver who'd do what you wanted to do. Nope, I'm in FL too and I catch them checking me out, or tailing me, or trying to keep up after I switch lanes and get ahead of them... but once they do roll up next to me or pass me, not once do they acknowledge me. So I've kind of given up on trying to wave at them.
I hardly have anyone try to make contact with me too and I think it's partially due to my car's color being conservative... if it was silver, white, black, or blue I think it'd appear more aggressive and sportier, but Arctic? They probably think whoever is driving a car that color isn't aggressive or something. Which is fine by me cos I'm not into street racing... but next thing they know I'm gone

Remember folks 95 percent of BMW drivers are badge whores, so theyre completely oblivious to your thumbsup and if they see it they most probably dont know why they got a thumbsup.

This thread is funny, it reminds me of Larry David where he waved at another Prius, and the guy didn't wave back. So he chased him down and consequently ran over his friend's dog....
I personally don't feel superior to a 328. I actually started talking BMW with someone who drives a E46 325, and didn't feel superior to him either. Many of us simply love BMWs, no matter what year, what model. Just my .02 |
