Parts compatibility between different models?

This may be a dumb question, so excuse the noobness. I'm browsing around for parts and I see alot of parts for the e90 325/330. My question is, are they compatible with the 2007 328i? What model is compatible for the 328i? Parts such as intakes, exhaust, short shift kits..etc. Thanks!
