Car and Boat detailing crossover...

So I owe my buddy money ($450) because I bought a bike off him. Anyways he's in need of detailing supplies. He will be detailing his 4dr black tacoma trd sport truck and his wakeboard boat. He has also never detailed a car to this extreme so he's a complete noob. This kit is great for him considering he may only do a full detail on the car and boat maybe once a year.

I was looking at this kit for his needs....

A majority of the items will cross over just fine. Only items I'm not so sure about on a boat are the Menzerna Polishes(gel coat fiberglass boat) and CG M-Seal. I know these products would work great on the car but I don't want them screwing his boat up.

Can anyone confirm this for me? Does detailed image offer a polish that is safe to use on his boat?

The M Seal is fine for gel coat, no problems there. The polishes and the pads won't do much on gel coat. Gel Coat is very tough and even the SIP/orange pad on a PC will brighten it up a bit but you need something more aggressive for gel coat in my experience. If he is ok with just getting it looking better those products will work on gel coat, they won't hurt anything.

Cool, good to know. I don't think he wants his boat 100% swirl free, just good looking. The kit seems perfect for him.

That's an awesome way to pay back money owed! He'll get a lot of use out of that stuff unlike just plain money. Good luck with the bike.
