I'm disappointed with fuel consumption

Good afternoon to the owners (inlcuding former and future ones) of such a beatiful car as E90!
I have had E90 325iA for 9 months and I'm pleased with every thing in the car, BUT FUEL CONSUMPTION
According the manufacturer's data fuel consumption in city mode should be 12,9 l/100 km, but REAL fuel consumption when I drive in Moscow is between 18-20 l/100 km
Of course, I understand that the real consupmtion will never be the same as manufacturer announces, but I haven't expected SUCH a difference!
Before I visit the dealer, I'd like to ask the other owners of E90 325iA about the fuel consumption in city mode. If you have some time, please, wrote your figures and some information about your driving (are you active driver or not, do you have traffic jams on your way, etc.)
Thank you!!!

I am lucky to get 23-24 on my MT E92 328--if you start driving the car hard at all, then it is obviously going to plummet. But I have been pleasantly surprised on the interstate--where I have gotten really close to the 30 MPG that appeared on my sticker.

There are soo many variables that come into play when you're talking MPG.

I'm getting ~24 mpg on 50/50 hwy/city which IMO is spot on.

Thank you guys! I've read some topics but I haven't found that somebody had such consumption as I do 19 l/100 km is about 12,5 mpg.
I don't think that I'm a unique driver
Then two options remains:
1) Moscow has the hardest traffic jams in the World...
2) Something wrong with my car
It is very hard to push a dealer to find the reason of high fuel consumption - they always tell about "driving style" or something like this....

Im only getting 20 mpg, Im not dissapointed, its jus weird that others are getting so much better. Does that mean I drive hard?

I was getting 24 mpg from my E46 325 coupe that had 30 hp less, so 20 seems OK to me.

Check your tire pressures. Running low pressure can cause palpable impact on fuel economy. I've been surprised by this one before.

damn I got 3200 miles on my 335I sedan and I'm only @ 17mph city/highway mix. The gas mileage is atrocious in the city but on the highway i usually get between 22-26, haven't seen that magical 30mpg yet. I might need to lose some weight on my right foot though, to help me that magical 30mpg.

What about the gas you're using? Do you think the gas companies in Russia would steal from their customers by selling you premium when you're actually putting low grade in your tank?

Low octane fuel will cause a drop in effeciency, add that to the horrible traffic etc etc.

Traffic jams will definitely affect your milage. When I drive in Manhattan my milage can drop to as low as 12-13mpg. However, under ideal highway situations, I've gotten as much as 32mpg.

I think I've averaged about 19-20mpg over the last several thousand miles (as per car computer).
