E93 Convertible Pics - pls help me with color choice
I am in the fortunate position of purchasing an E90 335xi sedan and an E93 335i. Dealer has indicated that will receive the 335xi at the earliest in late April 2007. My color choice is between TiAg and Arctic Metallic. The former is a great color, but I've seen many E90s in the city with the TiAg. The latter is also a great color in many lighting situations, but sometimes it takes on the character of a less-than-desireable baby blue. In either case, I will complement the exterior with Dakota black and aluminum trim.
My larger dilemma is with the E93 335. This vehicle will be for my wife. She likes space grey but desparately wants the cream beige interior with walnut. Personally, I think the Monaco Blue with cream beige works very well. (She does not want Space Grey with black leather - too dark with top down during cold months considering no sunroof). She likes the SG better than the MB exterior. Do you think the cream beige interior works with the SG exterior, especially when the top is open. BMW literature suggests that these colors are a "perfect match". I've posted some pics of the E93 here from the bmw uk website. Would love some feedback. Thanks. |

Have you seen the beige interior in person? I liked the beige leather seats and door inserts, but I thought the beige dash/footwell elements looked really cheap. On the terra interior, the footwells and dash are black which I really liked.
That's why the lemon interior was so nice, it had black footwells and dash. Light footwells would really bother me.

Did you dealer give you an estimate of when the E93 will be available in Canada?
And by the way i have never been a fan of blue cars but i gotta tell you the E9xxx looks absolutely stunning in Monaco blue. So my choice would be Monaco Blue with creme interior. |

Congrats and lucky man/wife combo - another double BMW couple we likey.
I have a preference for the Artic - it is a very classy colour, will look great with the interior chosen - reflect the heat more in summer and not be as dreary in the winter (plus dirt show less).

Not really keeping uptodate on e93 but...is jade grey available for the convert as it is for the e92? I love my jade, it will give your wife the lighter interior look without being a washout of beige and it will go well with space grey (better than beige will). Just a suggestion, but show her some pics of jade grey... if you can't find one at a dealer (most canadian dealers got there "sample" e92s in blk saph and jade, so you may find one).
Lcuky b@std getting two 335s!! I may swap to a 335xi coupe if they ever make one!

Monaco w/beige is definitely a great combo, but you got to keep it clean. Personally I'd go with Space Grey... beige or gray interior if your wife doesn't want black.
As for your car, both TiAg and Arctic are nice, they were high on my list of choices, but as you noticed many people have TiAg and I was tired of seeing it everywhere so I wanted something different. Arctic is very unique, many shades (just search for pics!)... yes you do get that baby / light blue color but I like all of them... try to see one in person if you can. You'll notice diff. shades if it's out in the sun (many nice shades), or in the showroom (more of that blue you mentioned, in my experience).

He probably got a configurator on CD...
Monaco Blue is a nice color, especially since it covers the roof lines and trunk lines nicely. I am not a big fan of Saddle Brown though. Personally, I think anything but black is a nice choice for interior color since its more unique. Good luck on your purchases!

Dealer's estimate is that we will see E93 production in Feb and delivery in late Mar or early Apr. Dealer showrooms may have by March.
