Lexus LFA: The best sounding car on earth?

I love the I4 sound of the BMW M3 E30 above all I4.
I love the I6 sound of M3 CSL E46 above all I6.
I love the B6 sound of the Porsche 911 GT3 above all V6.
I love the V8 sound of the Ferrari 458 Italia above all V8.
I love the V10 sound of the Porsche Carrera GT above all V10.
I love the V12 sound of the Ferrari 599 GTO above all V12.
But I love the Lexus LFA sound far above all.
Who could guess that the best sound would not come from BMW, Porsche or Ferrari, but from Lexus?

I'm sorry, but I don't think it's possible to beat the new GTO - it's just so raw

I think the LFA beats the 599 GTO sound any day of the week. I've never heard a car scream quite like that. Right behind the LFA would be the Carrera GT and a distant 3rd would be the F cars.

The list is pretty good. I would also consider Maserati 3200 and Golf R32.

you never said one word about the Pagani Zonda R... which is DEFINITELY my favorite sounding car... and this video is far better than the other two (put it on high def)... i'd also buy this car over any car on earth (even the veyron)

I still think the Porsche CGT and the Zonda R both have the best sounding exhaust notes out there, hands down. Personally I like those both a lot more than the LFA's sound.

this is spot on. lfa...#1 sounding stock exaust out there.

zonda r is out, it is not a production car.

In some vids with it cruising by at only part-throttle, it sounds like a Star Wars tie-fighter.

That's not road legal. But here's one that is - the Zonda F Roadster. Listen to it on the opening straight when it's being shown from far away... I totally agree with Clarkson

I am somehow not impressed by the Zonda R. I saw it at Genova. Technically it is an amazing machine but it looks really ugly. Buy the way, it is FI?

And could somebody post a good sound of Carrera GT?

In a good way that sounds like a really pissed off elephant after a methamphetamine injection or something. I would go back and forth, back and forth in a long tunnel all day.

You forgot the Audi inline-5 which IMO is the best sounding engine ever.Over all above.

I did think about it, but Fiat also has a good sounding I5, and I just did not want to have Audi stand near BMW, Porsche and Ferrari.
