Hey guys, I'm about to pony up the for direct connect on monday and I was thinking about how all they will do is put an interface behind the stereo and run a cord to the glove box. Seems like it shouldn't be 490, is there better solution?

It's an expensive battery charger.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. I'm talking about the ipod direct connect, nothing to do with phones. Where it's connected directly behind the sterio and then plugs in the bottom of the ipod...not the headphonejack.

I was quoted $320 and they would throw in the labor. I installed a Dension into the CD changer port on my 2003 Honda Accord. The thing has nothing to it and it cost $199 at BestBuy (on sale). It took me two hours to install it as you have to pull out the whole center console. Even that was well worth it, as I use it constantly. So to me, $320 in a Bimmer and I don't have to do the work is well worth it. I would even pay the $500, just don't tell them I said that.
