Hey All,
I have noticed that my 335i seems to have more body roll then I like (im coming from a race suspention mustang saleen). What do yall recommend I do to help remedy this? Im not quite ready to drop the suspention.. Would larger anti-sway/roll bars help much? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Car handles very well in stock trim. Coming from a former s2000 owner.

It handles very well... but I like most want better. My saleen was very low and had no body roll. The BMW is great but I think it can be improved. When taking fast corners I can feel the body roll a little too much.

I was weaving through traffic theother day(don't do this, you can hurt people) and I didn't like the body roll either. I am a noob to suspension and braking and I was thinking the same thing.

I guess lowering a little would help but I wouldn't want to lower more than one inch max.

Is it just stiffer springs? Stiffer swaybars? Stiffer chassis somehow?
I was looking through the catalog and noticed the strut bar for 300.00 that goes above the engine and connects one side to another right above the front wheels. What do you guys think about that?

yeah coming from a 350z i do too feel the body roll!! and yeah what is the thingy above the engine???? i thought tht was the sway bar, but i might be wrong????

The thingy above the engine is the Stut Bar/brace, the Sway bar will go under the car.

I even noticed more body roll on my 335 test drive than I do in my TL. It'll definitely be one of my first mods. Sways, struts, and springs FTW

Mat- when you decide to dive off and replace the sway bars keep me posted on what you go with.

I have the same problem with my E90 330i and was looking at sway bars myself. (See my post "Reducing Body Roll")

However, I contacted a big BMW tuning shop in the 'States and they recommend NOT fitting sway bars to cars with stock suspension.

The reason, too much wear on the standard suspension components.

Basically they said the best way to reduce roll is to reduce the centre of gravity and this means lowering the car.

I am taking thier advice and going for lower sport springs and dampers.
