Rollover protection question
I'm hoping to do some autocross events after I get my E93 this summer. I have read stories of the rollover protection deploying due to spirited driving with some body roll during tight corners. That's fine and all if the top is down, but does anyone know if the protection deploys when your top is up? In other words, do I have to autocross with the top down to avoid seeing my rear glass get shattered? I am probably incorrect in my thinking but I was hoping to keep the top up for a hair more torsional rigidity.
Thanks in advance!

I don't know about the E93, but when I had a CLK cabriolet the roll over protection popped up while the top was up and no damage at all. I highly doubt BMW would make the that feature resulting in damage to the roof.
