What happened to the rear window?
Does anyone know why they removed the power operated rear windows with "one-touch" tilt-open that we had in the e46 coupe (and not in the new e92), which opened by flaring out a few inches at the back to let stale air out?
Is it maybe because they couldn’t compensate for two separate motors in that area in the back i.e. one for the window and another for the safety belt’s extending arm?

yeah, side airbags sound like a reasonable explanation.
