Installed clear bra myself
I purchased a clear bra from Tischer's website. I installed it last weekend. You definitely need two people to perform it correctly. It is fairly easy but takes some stretching to get a good fit on the car. I popped some of the water bubbles with a safety pin. About a week in the sun and it looks great. I applied 2 coats of Zaino over it so it won't yellow. I'm surprised how thick the material is. It should provide some serious protection from rock chips.

Clear bra self install
No, I'll take some pics this weekend and post them.
I was stating that if you ever thought of doing this yourself, to give it a try. You can not do it by yourself. You will need another person to help remove the film from the backing and place it on the car. The kit I purchased from Tischer was cut very well. It does require major stretching for a super fit. It's definitely an art to apply a kit fast. It took me 3 hours to do the bumper to where I could drive the car. And you have to keep your hands saturated with solution as to keep the film fingerprint free. The real time consuming part was making sure no lint or partcles were trapped between the bumper and the car. My Alpine white doesn't help either. |
