About to place an ED... Jet Black or Space Gray?
I really can't decide
IMO, Space Gray looks so awesome when you actually can stare at the car for more than just a glance, and it's well worth the extra money, but nothing breaks more necks and attracts more initial attention like a shiny black bimmer. Thoughts? Help me decide.

Maybe this will help. Which suit would you wear to a formal dinner, a jet black one or space gray? IMO JET BLACK is more formal as with the car

Yeah... Black does look a bit more 'mature.' BTW, I think I've seen you're car around Tracy, lol.

I was thinking the same thing when I ordered JB or Space Gray. I went with the jet black. Freshly clean the Jet black is in my opinion the nicest color available for the 335i. But unforunately it does not stay clean very long. If its going to be a daily driver (that you dont want to wash all the time) I recommend Space Gray. If you reallly want that extra bit more of look... jet black.
Both are amazing! |

When I get my 335i maybe we can meet up and go for a joyride or something, it's cool to find enthusiasts in my area Anyways, Jet Black is hard to take care of, but it seems rewarding. I definitely will be using the car as my DD. I was also thinking of Black Sapphire Metallic, but the color seems to look a little bit blue in some shades...

Big big thing to consider in your color choice.
1. Black, when dirty, doesn't get darker. It just looks obviously dirty and definitely needs to be washed. 2. Grey/Silver, when dirty, just looks a darker shade of grey than it really is. Hope this helps rather than confuse you more on your color choice. I dunno if your car will be garaged or kept outside, but thats a big thing to consider in my mind in choosing a color choice.

When people say that black is hard to keep clean, its such an understatement. i was lured by the beauty of black when I bought my first new car, and regretted the choice everday that I wasn't washing it. Its literally clean for 5 minutes before you get some dust kick up and coat the car. Space grey is such a fantastic color, and looks way better in person as pictures do not do it any justice at all. The color is so clean looking, and its unique to the 335i which is another plus. Go with space grey.

imo, the jet black looks better but is so much more work to keep clean that i would chose the space gray. my last bmw was black saph. and it would stay clean for 24 hours at most.

If you aren't going to be able to garage your car, definately get Space Grey. Black is a stunning color and a more beautiful color IMO (I also currently own a black 4Runner that is beautiful when clean), but it has to be kept in a just about constant clean state to look good. I gave up on cleaning my 4Runner that is kept in an on-campus open parking deck every 2 days, so it just always looks dirty. I'm going to be placing an ED for my Space Grey 335i soon, and I am definately looking forward to having a car that can actually look good when a little dirty!

I wish they'd just make a Space Black so I can make up my mind... grrr
I think I'm going to go for Jet Black though, it looks amazing, and it may sound goofy to you older people out there I'm still kind of young, I think a threatening sounding car like the E92 would be much more threatening in black, especially at night.

I'm ordering Jet Black with Coral Red on Monday. I bounced back and forth a thousand times, but there is no denying that a black BMW is the sharpest, head-turning color.
Choose wisely my son!!!!
