335i Trunk Sensor malfunction???
Has anyone had this problem on their e92: From time to time (usually always) when I open my trunk and then close it, I get back into the car and the "Trunk Open" error message keeps popping up on my navi. WTF!! Do I have a faulty sensor or what. It hasn't stopped.

Faulty sensor or latch. I'd get it checked. Yours is the first complaint I've seen like this here on e90post, so it doesn't seem to be common.
A shot in the dark, but you have CA. You wouldn't happen to have a spare keyfob in your trunk? If you do, the trunk won't latch shut (or more precisely, it automatically unlatches once it detects a key in there).

I have noticed that often the boot/trunk does not close properly on the first try, especially if my wife tries to close it as she does not use enough force.
You can also notice this as the boot/trunk lights stay on (but then I have a Touring, so that is rather obvious when it happens). |
