Window Tint Vendor for M-Flight, here locally

If any M-Flight members are interested in window tint, please contact me for a local vendor. I am sending M-Flight customers his way.

He produces high quality work and is priced very competitively, he is also a professional/licensed installer.

Does he do clear bras? I need to fill a crap ton of rock chips first but I want to get the front, skirts, and rear bumper done. Maybe the side mirrors as well but they don't seem to be getting hit too badly.

What is his price (est) does he take VAT? How long would it take as driving from here (Bamberg) I would have to wait.

I'm more concerned about the fact that E90s have a rep for scratching tint. Joe's looks really good but I didn't ask him where he got it done. He didn't seem to have any scratches either. Maybe BMW fixed the issue.

What do you mean scratches on tint on the E90?

Do a search. There's TONS of threads about it. Basically something on either the door panel or regulator scratches the tint. Some people have no issue, some on a few doors, and some on all four doors.

I installed the tintprotector (www.tintprotector.com) moleskin stuff on all four doors for mine... after using Kreative's contact for tints (although it looks like he installed 20% when i asked for 35% all around!).

No issues (yet).

I still think it's a 35% and it just looks darker because you have a black interior. On an old car of mine I did 35" with an anthracite interior and it looked really dark as well.
It does look good though. I think i want to do something like a 40%-45%, just enough to cut the light and heat.

Did you do the moleskin before or after the tint? I'm guessing before but figured I'd ask.

Thanks,
Paul

I got the infamous scratch on my left rear window on the inside. I never open the rear windows, but one of the passengers in the back seat did, and it left a vertical scratch on the window. I thought that maybe it was sand particle, but now you're saying that it is pretty common.

Got the tintprotector stuff, had the tints put on, then installed the tintprotectors - didn't want to install them before he sprayed down the window and introduced moisture/debris onto the tintprotectors. Door panels come off/go on easily... was done with all four within 30-45min.

E-mailed the tintprotector guys on their website and they tell me they "believe" the 2011 E92 comes with felt already, but suggested I take the door panel off and check myself. Just trying to be proactive before I get tint put on my car. Anyone know the right answer?

If it's really as fast as Rob says I'd ust pull the panel. I'm gonna look at mine and find out when I do the speakers.

Rob, can you PM me the contact info/pricing for your tint guy?

ALL E90 four door M3's of any year have no felt on the inside door panel weather stripping. They ALL need the Tint Protector BMW Felt kit.

The early E92 M3 coupes needed the felt. Now we need some people to check their 2010-2011's to see if BMW stepped up and added felt or not.
