This is why no one likes cops...

All this for a $300 fine for misdemeanor posession of paraphernalia. Cops dressed as soldiers, raiding a house in the middle of the night, bullets flying around a few feet away from the children, killing family pets...and they bring the parents up on charges of child endangerment???

Seems very excessive for a search warrant situation. I cannot describe how I would feel if that happened to my family and my dog over a search warrant.

wow. that really pisses me off. shot 2 dogs and probably permanently traumatized a child over a little bit of weed and a pipe. absolutely ridiculous. i don't hate cops, but i hate excessive use of force like this. unbelievable. i hope these assholes lose their job and face criminal charges for criminal actions. i don't care if you want to argue to me that weed is illegal because i don't want to hear your bullshit. this is ridiculous.

Cops are slowly turning our countries into Police States. It's time to make these cops realize that they are PUBLIC servants.

They should have used something non lethal on the dog, I would think any dog would act a little defensive if 5 men come storming through the door in a aggressive manner.

All the dog was guilty for was defending is family pretty sad.

+1

Sad that there are so many LEO's and so many departments out there that do the right thing, the right way, but this minority makes everyone see them as the "enemy".

As often as you see these stories about fucked up cops and the shit they do, don't forget that this doesn't mean every cop out there is a douche bag.

I don't hate cops, I hate bad cops. I got a DUI a while ago (let's not turn this into a thing judging me for that, it totally changed my life). When I was arrested, I was refused a lawyer by the officer. Nor was I Mirandized. When I asked to call my lawyer, he said I wasn't under arrest, so I didn't need a lawyer. Meanwhile I am sitting handcuffed in the police station. Not under arrest....right. After being refused a lawyer and the cop would not read me my rights, I was pissed. I wasn't mad at the cop for arresting me, he was doing his job. But not reading me my rights or allowing me to speak to an attorney pissed the hell out of me. And in court he lied, saying I was Mirandized and declined a lawyer.

He lied under oath at the court date, saying he did read me my rights and I declined a lawyer. Also they refused to belt me in the paddy wagon when I asked. It is a law they have to belt you in. But judge took Baltimore cops word over mine, big surprise.

Shot their dog for some weed???! And only $300 of weed? Doesn't sound like a dealer to me, sounds more like for personal consumption. I'm sure that $300 is a inflated figure too. *sigh*

Didn't watch the youtube.

Nope, not even $300 worth. The $300 was what he was eventually fined. They found less than a gram of weed. for overzealous law enforcement.

You don't have to be read your Miranda rights when you're arrested.

Yes, when you are taken into police custody, you do. I was in police custody, thus, should have been Mirandized.

To us Cali folk, this must seem ludicrous.
