what's next after the 335

We all know bmw has always kept the cars from the generation before and then changed them to something new. I.e e46 323 and e46328 replaced by e46 325 and e46 330. E9x 325 and e9x 330 then e9x 328 and e9x 335. Do you guys think the next will be a 330 and 340??? Or do you think the 335 will stay in production.

335i will stay in production but will yeild a much lower HP/TQ output something like 260 I believe. The 340 will apparantly yeild 370 HP. I will be getting a minivan next bc i am gettin married and my life is ruined.

I like the ring of "345" for some reason. It probably wont ever happen though.

Sidenote: you think BMW will keep progressing to the point where we have a 770 or even a 780?

BMW has reused numbers before and I expect them to do so again, they had an E36, E46 and E90 325i at some point in their life cycles.

Just pray that BMW doesn't go the Infiniti route and name the next gen 3er the 337i! THAT would be a disaster

HAHAHA, I almost fell out my chair when I read that. Too funny man.

The logical next step from the 335i seems like the 350i. Just following suit with the 5-series. Then again who knows.

No it seems like they're gonna go with 340i and 330i that's the pattern the used the numbers from the last gen first then upgrade and use the model that was discontinued last time for the lower model.

In the old days, the last 2 digits gave the engine size. So a 325 had a 2.5L, a 330 a 3.0L, etc. But they have since abandoned much of that, very disappointing.

no look at how long the 325, 328 and 330 were around... like 20 years. hell they still make 330's over seas don't they? It'll take a LONG ass time to get up to a 380 or something like that (thought 780 might be closer but still like 50 yrs away).

I bet they cars will fly before they hit there and they'll all be different model names and different company name probably... VW is gonna gobble up the entire world before we know it.
